Rapco has manufactured FAA-PMA approved brake linings, rivets and discs since 1985. We have since dramatically increased our line of brake discs. Rapco now offers 83 brake discs as direct replacement for Cleveland on over a thousand different aircraft. No other aftermarket manufacturer makes as many as Rapco. As with all Rapco products, our discs are designed to exceed OEm performance standards and airworthiness requirements. Each brake disc is 100% machined from a forge. This technique makes a significantly stronger disc than the outdated two piece contruction. Non-OEM manufacturers need to make their product better than OEM to have a chance in selling to the discriminating buyer. For that reason, we have pioneered advancements in brake linings. Our latest generation of lining material lasts longer than our competition with no additional disc wear. Our new ‘wear-limit indicator’ found on our non asbestos organic linings (i.e. RA66-105 which replaces the popular Cleveland 66-105) makes wear determination simple and expedient. In fact, some flight schools make checking our wear limit indicator a part of pre-flight. As a convenience to operators, we sell brake kits that have the exact number of linings and rivets needed to perform service on individual aircraft. We also offer brake installation tools that dramatically reduce error and speed installation. Rapco will continue searching for innovative ways to manufacture brake components, lower operator cost, and ease installation and inspection.
