Rapco, Inc. has overhauled over 140,000 vacuum pumps using our
FAA approved process specification overhaul. The pumps are
warranted same as OEM. The mil-spec coating on the refinished
cavity helps the pump perform better than new. Our cooling shroud
and pump wrench are great additions.
Rapco now offers all new FAA-PMA approved vacuum pump models. We took our twenty years of overhaul experience and made a better vacuum pump. The new vacuum pump has significant advancements which include: a wear port to determine vane wear, coolong fins to reduce temperature and increase life, coated cavity to reduce friction, laser precise ports to provide unmatched airflow, and a reconfigured rotor with optimized vane slots for maximum pump life to name a few. All new and overhauled pumps use our new beveled rotor that allows small particles to pass through without destroying the pump. Rapco also offers cooling shrouds for both large and small vacuum pumps to educe operating temperatures and prolong pump life. Regulators and fittings are a new addition to the product line.

FAA-PMA Approved Brake Components
Rapco has manufactured FAA-PMA approved brake linings, rivets and discs since 1985. We have since dramatically increased our line of brake discs. Rapco now offers 83 brake discs as direct replacement for Cleveland on over a thousand different aircraft. No other aftermarket manufacturer makes as many as Rapco. As with all Rapco products, our discs are designed to exceed OEm performance standards and airworthiness requirements. Each brake disc is 100% machined from a forge. This technique makes a significantly stronger disc than the outdated two piece contruction. Non-OEM manufacturers need to make their product better than OEM to have a chance in selling to the discriminating buyer. For that reason, we have pioneered advancements in brake linings. Our latest generation of lining material lasts longer than our competition with no additional disc wear. Our new ‘wear-limit indicator’ found on our non asbestos organic linings (i.e. RA66-105 which replaces the popular Cleveland 66-105) makes wear determination simple and expedient. In fact, some flight schools make checking our wear limit indicator a part of pre-flight. As a convenience to operators, we sell brake kits that have the exact number of linings and rivets needed to perform service on individual aircraft. We also offer brake installation tools that dramatically reduce error and speed installation. Rapco will continue searching for innovative ways to manufacture brake components, lower operator cost, and ease installation and inspection.

Recommended Replacement Times:
Vacuum Instrument Central Gyro Filters:
Replace Filter at the mandatory 500 hour inspection interval, or per the type certificated holders recommendation. To ensure long instrument life and dry air pump life, we recommend changing the filters every 200 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Vacuum Relief and Pump Inlet Foam Garter Filters:
Replace at least every 100 flight hours to protect the relief valve seat and vacuum pump.
Pressure / Vacuum System Inlet Filters:
Replace at least every 200 flight hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Inline Filters for Pressure Systems:
